| If you’re an Ocean or Viking owner, it’s probably your favorite tournament. Sure, we all love the big money tournaments, but sometimes we just want to have fun, and go fishing with our friends. It’s also the perfect opportunity to introduce the next generation of anglers to the serious business of tournament fishing. That’s what the Showdown is all about: good times, family, friendship… and steaks! |
| Yes, steaks! Last year we tried something different during the Showdown lay day and it was a big hit! Instead of a light lunch furnished by one of Cape May’s award winning restaurants, the Leeks and Healy’s bellied up to the grill where they cooked and served hefty filets to all participants. And they’ll do it again this year – we promise! Of course, some things don’t change - things like the live music, open bar, pool side frozen Pina coladas, and the fun times had by all. |
| We’ve been told that there are only two kinds of owners who fish the Showdown, those who fish the event, and those who should! By the way, in 2010 it will be called the Ocean-Viking Showdown; that should tell you where the trophy is sitting today! |
